Discussion 2_Business Analysis (1)

Q Provide an example of a project where a Business Analyst was not the member of the team. What happened? In your opinion, how could this outcome have changed if there was a Business Analysis on the team? In your opinion, when should a Business Analyst be introduced into the project? When a request comes from a stakeholder? What team members should talk to the stakeholder about those requirements? When does a Business Analyst need to define functional, non-functional, and transitional requirements?

In my previous office, we handled a minor project without a business analyst on the team. There was no direct impact on the operations and executions, but it did seem that with one on board, additional time could have been cut short. If we had a business analyst, we would have had a more effective plan than the one we worked with. There were delays in logistics and negotiation issues with vendors, and since it was a new operation zone for us, a business analyst could have advised us improvements.
